Wedding Photography

This week I got to do something I've never done before - wedding photography!  I mean, I've done my fair share of taking snapshots during friends' weddings, but nothing like this.  :)  My aunt Darla was asked to do the wedding photography and asked me to be her side kick.  Seriously, SO FUN.  I came home with the biggest grin on my face (which actually hurt from smiling so much).  I told Skyler "you know how you get a high from going surfing with your buddies?  That's how I feel right now.".  *happy sighs*.  Anyway.  I think I got some not bad photos for being my first time, so I thought I'd share!  

On that note, I love candid photography more than anything.  I LOVE it.  The sweet looks from the groom, a burst of laughter from the bride, hugs and embraces from guests.  I just love when people capture the real moments, not just the staged moments.  (Which is why I chose Jessica Shepard to take pictures at my wedding, and am so thrilled that I asked her!  Two years later, I still love looking at the photos.)

Sick Boy

Poor monkey has a super snotty, runny nose.  He sounds terrible when he breathes. :(  

But, he's not lettin' that slow him down!  He chitter chats every morning for like 30 minutes.  Being sick doesn't change that one bit!  :)

6 Months...

(Okay okay, he's nearly 7 months...but I finally am getting to posting his 6 month pics!)

What a ham!

 

My goodness, I love this boy. :)  He is SO funny.  What a little personality already.  It's already been 6 months - and now almost 7.  It's more than half way to his first birthday.  I don't want to think about it.

We get mixed reviews of whether he looks more like me or more like Skyler.  I still think he looks more like baby me, but more like adult Skyler.    I dug up some old pictures of myself - here are some similar faces that I found! :)

These last two, Skyler thought of immediately after I snapped the pics of Zeek a couple months ago.  :)

iLove Instagrams (3)

We were gone over the weekend, so here's me playing catch-up on Instagram's!! :)

First up was Tuesday last week.  The day Zeek WOULD NOT sleep.  He had a nap from 9:30-10:30, and then slept 15 minutes twice between 10:30 and 5:30... This from the boy who loves and needs his sleep... 

So tired at 2 pm...

 Still up at 4 pm...

Out at 5:30!

For an hour... At least he woke up happy... :)
